Boooyah! What a blast the two days were. Thanks to all those who made it a great succsess! We had a much higher damaged car count than i would have liked but the two day event was tons of  fun. Only three out of  town competitors, who were quite suprised at the speed of our cars. Hopefully we can send 8 cars to Lac Labiche to make a good show for them.

OK, so a bit late, and very lean on content, but it's up. Here's a bit of a 'to do' list for those who care...

1. Teach a couple of people to update it.


2. I hate the way the Gallery Generator works at the moment. It came from a very specific setup and the images are cropped by the system to an odd size (419 x 248). So, it's not too bad for general images as it crops from the middle out, but for any kind of panoramic shots, it'll make a mockery of them... avoid those until I get this thing to develop 'normal' sized images.


3. Content! FAQs, more links, all the forms and rules, just general stuff. Hopefully there can be a bunch of us working on it.


4. Results... this likely should have been at the top of the list. I'm just listing the Ice Racing results, but I have an app in the works for both the Ice guys and the Solo II stuff. It's just about the time to do it. It'll get done, I just can't say when.

So here it is anyway. I hope that I'll do the trick. This site is built within a Content Management System (CMS) so those with a little computer knowledge, an image app (like PhotoShop) and a little patience can take care of this site. Let's have some fun with it, provide the info members and the public need and use it to grow the club.

OK, so I've spent the time to do up at least the container for this new SSCC site. We have an events scheule module, a What's New module, Members Only Gallery uploads, seperate sections for Solo II and Ice Racing and some other stuff that I can't currently remember.

So, the problem is that now someone has to actually input the content.... the age-old problem with volunteer organizations. I'll work away at is as I can, but I'll need people to input as well. I know that Jason is in for some of this... Conrad maybe? We shall see. So, as it stands, this site has the bare minimum of information to get things rolling.
